Our screening of the documentary “Genetic Roulette” is just two days away! We wanted to give you an update on the awesome raffle prizes we have and let you know who our final guest panelists are for our discussion after the film.
As you know the battle is heating up in California over Proposition 37. The opposition is spending a million dollars a day to blast the airwaves to defeat this initiative. The top 6 contributors for No on Prop 37 are the biggest chemical herbicide and pesticide companies in the world, with Monsanto leading the way by spending over 7 million dollars.
California needs our help and there are many ways you can support Yes on Prop 37:
1 – Phone Bank: Donate just a few hours of your time to call registered California voters right from the comfort of your home!
2 – Donate directly to Yes on Prop 37!
3 – Attend our screening, win great prizes, AND financially support Yes on Prop 37!
There are several benefits to attend this screening. First we feel that this film is VERY IMPORTANT. Jeffery Smith has been advocating against GMOs for years and has traveled the world talking with scientists and researchers about the adverse health risks associated with GM foods. In this film Jeffery highlights the possible health risks associated with consuming GM foods. Because GMOs have never been human safety tested we do not know how they affect our health but animals studies show that they cause cancer, diabetes, digestive disorders, and other diseases.
Second, we are donating all the $5 ticket proceeds to Yes on Prop 37 and the CA Right To Know campaign. They need financial help to air ads in the last weeks leading up to the vote. This is a way for Idahoans to make a difference and to be part of the victory to label GM foods! All additional raffle tickets are $1 and those proceeds will benefit GMO Free Idaho, your local action group against GMOs.
If Prop 37 passes, food manufactures will likely label their products for the entire country. So, a win for California is a win for Idaho and consumers across the country!
Third, we have a great discussion lined up for after the film with local guest panelists followed by a raffle. Your $5 ticket purchase automatically enters you into our raffle and you get to choose which prizes to enter in. Here is a list of our current prizes with more to come!
