GMO Free Idaho Presents: “Locavore Tour”
Join our adventure as we travel across Idaho raising awareness about GMOs, in search of local, non-GMO food and products!
We feel that the best way to avoid GMOs and to support sustainable agriculture and practices is by buying from our local producers. The purpose of this tour is to raise awareness about GMOs by giving presentations, holding booths at events, and talking with local and non-GMO food and product producers across the entire state.
We want to show Idahoans alternatives to conventional foods and products, so we can all make healthier choices for our families, our communities, and our environment.
First stop, Hagerman, ID – Friday, July 20th – Sunday, July 22nd
We will be giving our “Everything You Need to Know About GMOs Presentation” on Friday, July 20th at 6:00 p.m. at the Frogs Landing in Hagerman at 611 Frogs Landing
(The building between Snake River Acupuncture and Snake River Grill).
You will learn what GMOs are, who is making them, why they are in our food, how they affect our health and environment, and what you can do to avoid them. For more information about our presentation, click here.
If you’re in the area, come by and see us! Click here to RSVP!
We will also be visiting several local Idaho Farms in the Hagerman Valley, including Blue Sage Farms, Green Goat Dairy, Golden Egg Farm, M & M Heath Farm, and much more! We’ll keep you posted on our adventures with interviews, recipes, and great conversations about eating GMO free and the benefits of buying local.
We plan to travel the entire state to raise awareness about this critical issue, so if you want GMO Free Idaho to come to your town or if you have information about someone we should interview or where we could present, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll see you on the road!
