GMO Free Idaho spent a few days in Hagerman, Idaho in July to kick off our “Locavore” Tour. We gave a GMO presentation and interviewed several local food producers who are dedicated to providing non-GMO products to their community and beyond. You can read more about our Hagerman visit here!
Next stop on our tour is Eastern Idaho! We hit the road this Sunday and spend a week visiting with local food producers and movers and shakers in Ashton, Idaho the Teton Valley, Rexburg, Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, and Pocatello. We have a great line up of interviews with organic Idaho farmers, free range ranchers, local businesses, food activists, and more!
You’ll get to hear all the juicy details about these operations and how you can get your hands on their non-GMO products. In addition we are hosting 3 FREE GMO presentations.
The first is in Ashton on Monday night (September 17th) @ 6:00 pm at the home of Nicole Stoddard (1253 N. 3700 E.) Go to our Facebook events page here to RSVP. This presentation includes GMO free snacks!!
The second is in Idaho Falls on Thursday (September 20th) @ 6:00 pm. We have not been able to confirm our location, but we WILL be giving a presentation. You can RSVP to the event on Facebook here and we will keep you posted as soon as we pin down the facility we have requested.
The third presentation is in Pocatello at Portneuf Valley Brewery (directions here) at 6:00 pm on Wednesday (September 19th). You are more than welcome to enjoy food and drink from Portneuf Valley Brewery during this presentation.
GMO Free Idaho is dedicated to educating Idaho consumers about the presence of genetically modified foods. Please join our efforts and RSVP to one of these events. And bring a friend! There is nothing to lose and valuable knowledge to gain! After all, you have a right to know you are eating GMO!
I hope to see you at one of our 3 presentations and we’ll keep you updated everyday on our tour so you know who is providing GMO free foods in your community.
Here’s to being GMO FREE!!
