Greetings from GMO Free Idaho!
As most of you know the second annual Community Progressive II is right around the corner. It will be held Saturday, June 9th, at Julia Davis park from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. GMO Free Idaho will be holding a booth to raise awareness about genetically modified foods. We have ordered t-shirts for this event to raise money for our cause.
California will be voting on mandatory GMO labeling laws this November. More then likely, but also depending on California’s results, we will pursue a ballot initiative for mandatory labeling laws in Idaho next year.
We are asking local businesses who provide sustainable, organic, or local products and support GMO labeling laws to donate a minimum of $20 to our cause in order to get this initiative going and to further spread GMO awareness.
If you choose to donate we will put your company logo on our new t-shirts that we will have for the Community Progressive II. This is a great opportunity to show that you support GMO labeling laws to the consumers who are concerned about GMOs and to support our group.
To make a donation go to gmofreeidaho.com. On the home page you will find a donation button. You can donate any amount you would like but you must specify in the comment box that your donation is for “sponsorship at Community Progressive II.” Then send your logo to email@example.com.
Donations must be made by Wednesday, May 30th. If you donate past this point, we will put your logo on the next batch of t-shirts.
Our goal is to get at least 10 business donations to help cover the costs of our t-shirts. We really appreciate our local community and their efforts to bring sustainable, clean, and organic products to the Treasure Valley. Without you, our cause would be lost!
Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you at the Community Progressive II.
Here’s to being GMO free!
